HTHP flange insulation kit is comprised of an insulating gasket, insulating sleeves, insulating washers and metal backing washers.
The insulating gasket constructed by a machined grooved metal core with mica spacer ring and faced with Hi-temp mica on both sides.
HTHP flange insulation kit are specifically designed to effect a seal and maintain electrical insulation across a wide range of seating stresses flange classed in elevated temperature service. They can be utilized in load compromised connections; such as damaged and/or lined flanges and also heavily bolted connections where significant gasket stressed may be generated.
The use of Hi-Temp mica as sealing material pushed the performance of the HTHP insulation kit beyond the capability of traditional insulation sets based on phenolic resin or glass/epoxy sealing technology.
The insulating gasket and washers have been designed and developed for use in standard pipeline flanges where both cathodic protection and high integrity sealing is require at elevated service temperatures.
